Findings from this study suggest that access to preschool is much more widespread in Eswatini than previously reported. Reports from the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET), UNICEF, UNESCO and the World Bank have suggested that 20-40% of children go to preschool. This study finds that about 80% of students at Government primary schools had attended preschool before their enrolment into their 2019 Grade 1 class.
