CALL FOR RESEARCH CONSULTANTS

Introduction:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Consultant to join our team, bringing expertise and a proactive approach to our research initiatives. The ideal candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Development Studies, Public Policy, Public Administration, Geography, Governance, Climate Change, Agricultural Economics, or Applied Science. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate a proven track record of successfully managing research projects from inception through to completion.

This role requires a deep understanding of research methodologies and the ability to effectively oversee all stages of project development. The successful candidate should have experience in designing and implementing research strategies, coordinating data collection, analysing complex data sets, and producing detailed and actionable reports.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team are essential. We are looking for an individual who is not only technically proficient but also possesses excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality research outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Oversee and manage research projects, ensuring they meet objectives, timelines, and budgets.
• Project Meetings: Attend and actively participate in project meetings, providing updates and contributing to discussions.
• Data Collection: Design and implement strategies for effective data collection, including surveys, interviews, and fieldwork.
• Data Analysis: Analyse collected data using statistical and analytical tools to derive meaningful insights.
• Report Writing: Prepare comprehensive and clear reports summarizing research findings, conclusions, and recommendations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Development Studies, Public Policy, Public Administration, Geography, Climate Change, Governance, Agricultural Economics, or Applied Science.
• Demonstrated experience in managing research projects.
• Proficiency in data collection and analysis methods.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with specific research methodologies relevant to the field.
• Familiarity with data analysis software and tools.
• Previous experience in a similar consultancy role.
