Why are we conducting the survey, you may be wondering?
One of the interesting and relevant topics relating to money/investment is the issue of cryptocurrencies. ESEPARC has observed with keen interest a dramatic transformation in
the digital currency ecosystem, with customers and retailers who were once hesitant about digital currency, now viewing it with enthusiasm.
As of 2022, about 220 million people use cryptocurrency globally.
In Eswatini, anecdotal evidence suggests that a small proportion of individuals and companies have bought crypto assets and are involved in the cryptocurrency market at different levels. While the global cryptocurrency market is wide and growing, its size in Eswatini is unknown and the type of
transactions being undertaken are not yet documented.
Hence, ESEPARC is conducting the survey to estimate the appetite and use of cryptocurrencies in the
Eswatini economy. Your opinions and insights will establish baseline knowledge on the cryptocurrency
market and determine the level of participation that can be estimated for both individuals and companies.
