The Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MoLSS) through the National Human Resource Planning and Development (HRPD) Unit is charged with the responsibility to ensure that the Kingdom of Eswatini has adequate and relevant skills and competencies for achievement of its vision of improved economic and human development.

You will recall that the MoLSS invited submissions/contributions for the review of the National Human Resource Development Policy (NHRD) 2017 – 2030. On the 14th of October, 2022, stakeholders were invited to a physical meeting to discuss the review and agree on key policy/intervention areas that should be reflected in the new NHRD Policy 2023 – 2030.

Following the contributions received from stakeholders, we are pleased to inform you that the MoLSS under the HRPD Unit and facilitated by the Eswatini Economic Policy Analysis and Research Centre (ESEPARC) has reviewed and produced a comprehensive Draft NHRD Policy 2023-2030.
Therefore, you are invited to a physical meeting on the 11th of November, 2022 to validate the Draft Policy in order to address any outstanding issues that may have been overlooked and strengthen the Policy to make it a robust and practical to address human resource development in Eswatini.
