On the 5th February 2025, key stakeholders in the vocational education space convened at Emafini Country Lodge in Mbabane for a Validation Meeting of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Industry Needs Assessment; a component of the National Labour Market Skills Project (NLMSP).

The meeting was organised by the Eswatini Economic Policy Analysis and Research Centre (ESEPARC), in collaboration with the Taiwan Technical Mission and the Eswatini Higher Education Council (ESHEC) brought together representatives from government, private sector, and TVET institutions to review the preliminary findings and ensure alignment with Eswatini’s national skills development agenda.

The validation meeting reaffirmed the critical role of technical education in addressing unemployment, boosting entrepreneurship, and equipping Eswatini’s workforce with industry-relevant skills. Participants provided valuable input on refining the study’s recommendations, ensuring that the final report accurately reflects industry needs and national priorities. This feedback will contribute to shaping policies and strategies aimed at strengthening Eswatini’s TVET sector.
