Assessing the Economic Impact of Global GMO Adoption

Synopsis

The lecture will highlight the benefits and critiques of the global adoption of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) since their release over 20 years ago. The presentation will focus on producer profitability, input usage and the environmental impacts post-adoption. Special attention will be given to the heterogeneous impacts of adoption between high and low-income countries.
